From our materials and manufacturing methods, to our transportation choices, Prolific’s commitment to the environment is an integral part of our business. We partner with our suppliers, employees and clients to achieve real, measurable environmental improvements. Prolific uses vegetable based inks which contain 70% bio-renewable content and have low VOC emissions. The result is the highest possible content of renewable and sustainable raw materials while maintaining the highest quality of the finished product. We have long since abandoned the use of film and the “difficult to treat” chemistry needed to process it. Any chemicals we use in production are managed by our EcoPro PCS, a treatment and tracking system that manages chemistry with no handling, no storage and no hauling, completely neutralizing it. Working with Manitoba Hydro and Power Smart we have been able to purchase the most energy efficient equipment and have also retrofitted our plant and office with energy efficient lighting reducing our consumption of electricity by 30%. We are continually taking steps to become a more environmentally innovated printer and striving to achieve a zero waste policy. From recycling programs for paper, metals, plastics and woods to a new composting program we are becoming a Clean Green Company.
